Since you are a DSL user as well, what are you getting with these tests:

Test 1
msn.zdnet.com
(My DSL speed 168-366kb/sec)

Test 2
dslreports.com (use IE for accurate report)
(My DSL speed Speed 381(down)/373(up) kbps)

I called tech support tonight, pissed off at this slow connection (366 kb/sec) the guy says for DSL that's GREAT and fast. Then says we guarantee 1.5 Mb/sec in their network.

I surf on the internet, not just their network.

I don't want to surf their websites to get 1.5Mb/sec.

These test sites the ISP's put out are just their own networks speed and not real life speed. If I use their speed test site, I get 1.5Mb/sec.

I guess they have a shitty backbone to the Internet.

I use to be on @Home and averaged 1.5-2 Mb/sec (1,500 to 2,000 kb/sec) on the above test. Back to cable for me.
