Now why should the LIBERAL porch be unmoderated? So conservatives can some over and ruin it? I understand that they would probably like to ruin it- but they have their OWN porch that we (or at least I) do not want them to unmoderate. Now why do they want to come to our porch and we (or at least I) don't want to go to theirs? Why is this so important to Jlallen?

This is really interesting. It isn't about free speech- because that doesn't apply on SI anyway. I think it's about control and power. I suppose it makes a conservative feel weak and powerless not to be able to harass a group of liberals sitting out of his reach. Which makes me wonder WHY??? Why do they want to harass us? It isn't like they want to debate- that really doesn't happen. What happens on SI is both sides repeat the same old stuff over and over again - as if by repetition there is something to be "won".

Why not go on this way- with the RWP saying ugly things about liberals (and apparently demonizing poet) and let's not forget the brilliant free speech move of getting YYB suspended, and the LWP saying ugly things about conservatives. Why put them together? Why why why? Love of violence? Maybe that's it. They just like conflict a whole heck of a lot more than we do.
