Ally, couldn't agree with you more except I think they still have alot of work to do. They ought to change their format so they don't have as many hyping analysts as they did in the past and they should grill those analysts whenever they come on, i.e. ask them about their credentials, ask them about p/e's of the companies they recommend, potential conflicts of interest, and cross-examine them. CNBC should be sued for the manner in which they paraded these charlatans on their network during the "boom" period without ever critically questioning what they were saying and their motivations for saying it. They have a responsibility to the viewing public in general and I hope they are beginning to recognize it. They should assign one or two people -true financial journalists- exclusively to handle these analysts and maria should not be one of them. I hope that some of my letters to them have contributed to this change.
