Tim, I'd be interested in seeing that link if you can
find it. More calls for Yen weakness....

Another endorsement for a weaker yen from Japanese Vice Finance Minister for International Affairs Haruhiko Kuroda, who said last night that the euro should continue to strengthen against the yen and the dollar. While such talk may not be exactly what the dollar bulls had in mind, it is important to consider the deterioration in Japanese exports to the EU. Of interest, we would argue that the relative strength of the euro versus the yen and the other Asian regionals may already be helping in this department, as yesterday's release of December trade data out of Taiwan revealed a 27.3% month on month surge in the country's trade surplus with Europe.
