in common in order for the diverse cultures to meet and interact?

The first requirement is acceptance that diversity of opinion is a natural and healthy thing to be respected. The second requirement is a common language that the parties can use to understand the differing points of view and to reach as much consensus as possible. This would include the language, itself, and a shared set of basic reasoning and problem-solving skills. This is the basis of education. Schools should also teach factual subject matter and those values necessary for students to learn and to maintain order in the classroom. Hopefully, this would provide a next generation of parents qualified to play their role in the education of children.
