Daily Visitor Volume Versus Comparable Period Last Year

uBid, Inc., a leading online auction and e-commerce site and majority-owned operating company of CMGI, Inc. (NASDAQ: CMGI), today announced that it had a record-breaking month in December. The company indicated that its revenue increased by more than 60 percent compared to December 1999 as well as reported more than 6 million unique visitors during December, a more than an 80 percent increase from December 1999.

In addition, uBid, the second largest retail auction site as indicated by Media Metrix, saw nearly a 50 percent increase in page views to more than 66 million, as well as an increase of more than 60 percent in the number of items sold to more than 350,000 as compared to December 1999.

"Our growth rate continues to accelerate with an incredible speed," said Greg Jones, president and chief executive officer of uBid. "We've had tremendous opportunities for growth in the past year. Being able to meet the demands of consumers by providing an unprecedented combination of options for buying and selling products in an online marketplace has helped us in breaking previous uBid records as well as allowed us to double our site registrants to nearly 2 million."

uBid offers consumers and small to mid-sized businesses the opportunity to purchase a wide range of brand name merchandise at greatly reduced prices. Unlike the competition, uBid offers supplier warranties on most products and bids begin as low as $9.

The company recently ranked as one of the top 15 holiday e-tailers in the Nielsen/NetRatings 2000 Holiday E-Commerce Index.
