DMP: We are just going to have to be nimble. I still maintain that no sustained rallies are possible until some heavy weights come in with better than expected earnings with good outlooks for the future. The future being 2nd-3rd quarter. The 1st and 2nd quarter are toast since the rate cuts cannot impact them significantly -- too late to help.
Volatility is in. Holding LONG overnight is dangerous through January. Of coarse there will be exceptions as some days will open with a gap up but the probability for bad news is higher than for good news. News and earnings reports are going to drive this thing and I would be very concerned what MOT is going to give us on Wednesday. Any thoughts about MOT? GH
