my bet is the CPUcooling fan is making the noise ... or perhaps, but less likely the box cooling fan ... and the resulting heat build up is causing the malfunction of the CPU and the memory if not those, the bushings/bearings in the HD itself ... could be the noise, and could be a combo of both this and the above but the HD buzzing shouldn't account for the mem leak by itself.... good luck
