There was an interesting press release today from VCAT which used to be called Midland Entertainment and offered internet casino software/support. They got out of that business last year citing "legislative worries" and became an e-commerce consultant. Well today they announced they were firing half their employees and "refocusing on gaming".

The great thing about internet gambling is that there is no way any government can stop foreign gambling websites. They can only shut down internet gambling servers within their borders. And since internet gambling is legal most places (including Australia), the other countries better join them because they can't lick them.

The only way for the U.S. to shut down offshore gambling servers is with cruise missiles.
