My money is on Chavez being confirmed. She doesn't have much baggage other than being publicly opposed to a lot of liberal programs like Affirmative Action and bilingual education. The arrangement with the Guatemalan woman seems to be informal - if it turns out Chavez had a history of bringing illegal aliens into the house and paying them under the table for housework it will be a different matter.
