a more than normally successful group
It's hard to predict the future. These are pretty dynamic times and a successful group would have to be able to adapt to new environments. Still I do not maintain that the most dynamic and tolerant will become the dominant members of society, only that the tolerant and adaptable are likely to form the type of rich vibrant community fondly remembered in the future than would a community with a narrow focus.
