John,

Did Eli look like a guy about to disappoint "The Street" in two weeks?
The guy was dripping so much confidence they had to clean the camera lens.

He addressed price sensitivity in the interview and acknowledged
that SanDisk's "passion" has been to decrease manufacturing costs
and bring high quality, affordable flash cards to the consumer.
He also stated that some desperate competitors would do just about
anything. SanDisk is vertically integrated...everything from soup
to nuts. My general impression was that some decrease in price points
is intentional. I found this reassuring.

For anyone who watched the interview consider whether
SanDisk succumbed to pricing pressures in Q4 or whether
it passed on manufacturing efficiencies to the consumer.
I think there is only one logical conclusion.

Finallyk, it seemed that he was addressing
some of the points made here on SI.
Maybe he does read this board.
