We are. x86-64 was supposed to arrive in late 2001. Then that slipped to early 2002 and mid-2002 for Claw and Sledge, respectively.

I expect Claw to slip somewhere to Q2 2002, and Sledge to slip all the way to late 2002, given AMD's abysmal record in enterprise servers. This isn't "wishful thinking" as you suggest, but rather a realistic view based on the slips of Itanium, UltraSparc, PowerPC, and any other competitor in the enterprise.
