Intel has said that the cross over for the P4 will be at the end of 2001 if not sooner. I tend to believe Intel rather than you on this subject. The key issue here is a problem free launch for the P4. It looks like it is happening. Remember last year Caminogate created a big problem.

As to production capacity, Intel has said that it will be switching over to .13 micron process lines this year. Each one of those plants has the output of 2 1/2 of the .18 micron plants. So that is where the extra production capacity is comming from. I believe Intel has a slide show going over its 2001 issues. It may still be at their web site. Take a look!

I believe one .13 micron factory is already on line. I believe it is producing P3s.
