{: very, very sorry {::

I haven't tried any of these sites for spur of the moment bookings, so i am at a loss in terms of recommending which might offer the best pricing.

In scanning some of the posts on a travel thread, hotwire.com might be good for immediate travel - see notes below:

www.hotwire.com
note taken off of travel thread regarding hotwire.com

"If you're willing to be flexible on the time of day you travel plus # of connections, you should give www.hotwire.com a try. I have used them several times and been pleased. They are run by a consortium of airlines in order to sell out unsold seats. They are better than Priceline in my opinion as most of the flights I have gotten through them are during daylight hours (no middle of the night flights yet!) :)

in any case, i do hope that one of these will help:

www.bestfares.com
www.expedia.com
www.priceline.com
www.itn.com
www.travelocity.com

have a safe trip, i hope by the time you arrive, your mom is on the road to a quick recovery...

take care of yourself and family :}}
in my thoughts..
