The street has practically forced CSCO into giving guidance on the quarter as rumors have developed in the past couple of days that CSCO would lower guidance.

Cisco won't comment on the quarter unless they do so through a press release. This is their policy, and since regulation FD it is essentially the law. All that companies can legally do nowadays is reiterate already given guidance, or issue press releases.
