I think there is an underlying message in Clinton's statement. I suspect he will be the 1st ex-president to continually take verbal 'shots' at his successor's administration. In effect, I think he will try to operate somewhat as a 'shadow' president in an effort to belittle Bush and the Republican party. This could backfire on them eventually in the 2002 elections. We will see.
