Canadian Federal Senator Gerry St. Germain Joins Security Biometrics' Advisory Board

VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 10, 2001--Mr. George Gould, President of Security Biometrics, Inc. (SBTI: OTC, www.sigbio.com ), is pleased to announce the appointment of the Honourable Senator Gerry St. Germain (PC) as an advisory board member to the company.

St. Germain was first elected to the Canadian House of Commons in 1983 and served as the government's National Caucus Chairman between 1984 and 1988. In 1988 he was appointed to the Federal Cabinet, where he held positions as the Minister of State for Transport and as Forestry Minister for Canada.

The Honourable Gerry St. Germain was appointed to the Canadian Senate in 1993 and is a member of the Senate Standing Committees on National Finance as well as Banking Trade and Commerce. He is a member of the Privy Council (PC) and currently serves the Senatorial division of Langley-Pemberton-Whistler.
