I hate cats.

X, you are a hoot! Now I understand why it is that you can get so crabby. There's nothing like a sweet-smelling, warm kitty purring in your arms to improve one's disposition. [Well, maybe Mr. X and a nice bottle of wine would work, too.]

P.S. I've put a bunch of my life energy in rescuing cats and other critters. I assure you that it is very rewarding. And doing so is not likely to cost anyone a Cabinet post.
