Just to make this real clear for people who may not be absolutely sure of the significance of this (including me ...) I keep hearing talk of the so-called "quiet period." Is this an S.E.C. thing, or a Wall Street "old boys club" thing ? If it is an S.E.C. thing -- it is (of course) ridiculous that there is not also a "quiet period" for analysts regarding releasing inflammatory, unsubstantiated "research" pieces during this same time period. Please tell me (us) the details ... Jon.
