NW... I remember the selective disclosure very well. EM had an analyst in Houston at the factory and said that "business is a little soft" after having made a number of positive public comments in weeks prior. The stock tanked immediately mostly because that selective disclosure was like a betrayal of all the other analysts in that they weren't privy to the information first hand. I'm referring to seemingly deceptive conduct and Ep and Em were masters at that. The "robust sales" comment followed quickly by a warning smacked of deception, or at least in my view, WS perceived it that way. I think you'll agree that he used poor judgement in issuing that kind of statement at that time in that forum. Deceptive or no, WS is still healing from the outrageous and unethical conduct of EP and EM(primarily EM) and MC should have been more understanding of WS's sensitivity. El
