If abortion is a right, then you are correct. If not, not. That is the controversy. As for states' rights, they were upheld in a constitutionally proper manner. The 14th amendment allowed the equity claim to rise to the Supreme Court. The primacy of the state legislature in determining the period of contest mandated shutting down the manual recount, in order to fulfill the legislature's intent to terminate the contest by the "safe harbor". According to the Constitution, the legislature has an absolute right to determine the method and terms of selection of the electors, at any time. Thus, its will to resolve the contest in a timely manner trumps.......
