CONCORD, Ont. (CP) - Unique Broadband Systems, Inc., a supplier of high-speed wireless communications equipment, reported stronger revenues and earnings for its latest quarter.
Revenue was $15.5 million for the three months ended Nov. 30, more than 6.5 times higher than the $2.34 million reported in the same period a year earlier. Net profits were $1.8 million, or more than double the $806,363 last year.

"We are very pleased with our growth in both the top and bottom lines," said Stephen Rosen, Unique's chief financial officer said in a release.

During the second quarter of fiscal 2001, UBS completed its acquisition of ProTeleVision Technologies SA for about $6.75 million US.
