No need to get snippy, Sid, I didn't realise I was being redundant. I think from that quote that the two or three year delay is quite obvious. The shift in focus means that they will have to build a more powerful engine. There's no way that a city transit bus requires nearly the power or speed required for European highway freight. For one thing the speeds on the Autoroutes are far greater than even those in North America. And secondly, a full city bus is quite a lot lighter than a loaded semi trailer or passenger (touring) bus. Ballard will also have to develop a number of different models of their engines in order to accomodate the different vehicle models. Since they won't be concentrating on one basic metro transit vehicle, it will take a bit longer for them.
