Heinz- I saw a lot of criticism of Davis here on the site yesterday. Yet no one offered a viable solution, unless I missed it. CA's economy is so large that any severe disruption can't help but begin a ripple which will lengthen into a tidal wave spreading beyond the state's borders. That's on an economic basis. On a humanitarian front, we're talking about people's lives being placed in jeopardy. The state and its large cities (SF & LA) have a lamentable history of reaching out and stealing water, no matter the cost to others. All this for the sake of growth. Now the electricity problem. This, too, has its roots in the past. I don't know what's going to happen, but the rest of the country should take note. Will they? I doubt it. Not in this era. R
