Perhaps the market will write-off yahoo as part of the end-game scenario for the dot.com implosion and not pay too much attention to it -- I hope so.

I think it's likely that the market will not follow Yahoo down, if only because their market cap of $15B just isn't that significant. The wind is out of the Internet sails at the moment, at least from an advertising perspective. Long term, Yahoo has an impressive audience to sell to -- now they clearly have to start selling (end user services) to grow.
