I am confused by the below statement in their press release of today, Jan 10, 2001.http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/010110/id_extende.html

For the second quarter of fiscal 2001, the company expects net revenue of approximately $13.9 million, up from its earlier estimate of between $12.2 million and $12.9 million, and an increase of approximately 14% from net revenue of $12.2 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2001. This includes approximately $6.3 million in revenue from Mobile Information Management (MIM) software products, a 70 percent increase from software revenue of $3.7 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2000 and a 27 percent increase from revenue of $5.0 mi1lion in the first quarter of fiscal 2000. The company also expects MIM hardware revenue will be approximately $3.5 million and revenue from sales of legacy Printing Solutions products will be approximately $4.1 million for the second quarter.

Why are they comparing 2nd quarter 2001 MIM Sales, with 1st quarter 2000? Shouldn't they be comparing it with 1st quarter 2001 ? I do understand the comparison with 2nd quarter 2000.

Comparing MIM sales of 2nd Qtr 2001 with 1st Qtr 2001, I think we see a sizeable decrease. 2nd Qtr 2001 = $6.3 M vs. 1st Qtr 2001 = $8.7 M. A sequential quarter decrease of 28%. Not a fair presentation in this press release if I am interpreting correctly.
