If you are talking about a perfect world where I get to make up the laws, I would support voluntary taxation for education. In other words, individuals would choose to donate as much as they wanted to public education. And I am one of those fools who thinks that the vast majority of the population will gladly write a check to support sending kids to school since it provides one of the greatest benefits to society overall.
