TA, I would think Don't fight the Fed. generally applies much more to stocks whose fundamentals improve greatly when the fed starts easing like financials and cyclicals. Techs will certainly see some basic improvement (ie - loosening of credit conditions) but the picture is still very uncertain for them. Problems of slowing growth in networking won't just be solved by knocking 1% off of lending rates. But, for the financials etc. the benefit is immediate and goes right to the bottom line. Not so for the telco's building the networks who, in addition to being shut out of credit markets, were seeing erosion of margins, increased competition, etc. etc.
