A question the thread might find amusing.... When I came of age, in the '70's, suspicion of and opposition to government marked one immediately as left-leaning and probably dangerously radical. Conservatives supported government, believed in government, rallied behind government. Now, of course, it is quite the opposite. Will the ascension of a conservative government reverse this equation once again? If it does, what will that say about the fundamental attitude of conservatives - and liberals - toward government?
