I don't know how you and your coworkers are doing that. Most of the work I do involves close interaction with my immediate coworkers. I guess with the right management, such telecommuting is possible, but I don't believe mass telecommuting is the solution to traffic congestion.

Gas in America is cheap. My relatives in Korea paid $3/gal two years ago, and they probably pay more now. If we had to pay that much for gas, we'll see a lot more gas conservation, carpooling, people using mass transit, people living closer to their places of work, more incentive to build gas-efficient cars, etc.

Of course, that sort of solution would be extremely painful and unpopular.
