Vector - you have valid point regarding the comparison to an index. But an effort to construct a parallel portfolio does makes sense, respectfully speaking as well, as an attempt to see if biotech stock picking is as difficult as it appears.

I've completed the process of stock selection for the DVD portfolio. The remaining eight stocks from VD (BTRN, CELG, CRXA, LEXG, PRCS, TRMS, VRTX) were replaced with the following:

aaiPharma (AAII)
Arena Pharmaceuticals (ARNA)
Caliper Technologies (CALP)
Covance (CVD)
Genomic Solutions (GNSL)
Esperion Therapeutics (ESPR)
Luminex (LMNX)
Orchid Biosciences (ORCH)

The funds from the VD stocks ($778,455) were equally divided among the new entries. Both portfolios were updated with yesterday's closing prices to reflect the launch date.
