NBC just had a piece on IT, with a Wired editor and someone else speculating about what IT is. FWIW, the two of them don't believe that IT is a hoax (or claim that they don't believe so), though the Wired guy could hardly keep from smiling the whole interview. Their speculation is that IT is some sort of motorized vehicle that will be cheap, clean, and will somehow revolutionize transportation--Jetson like, dear old Katie suggested. But they were very vague about an ETA, so don't hold your breath.

P.S. From the way the drive stocks are moving in the past couple of days, maybe IT will have also have a hard drive installed, to recall maps, directions, GPS, phone numbers, and where all your favorite restaurants are. Cool! |
