California power alert just issued. ISO just said we're in a very serious situation today, where rolling brownouts may be forced. Several plants went down in the last twelve hours or so due to overstressing from round the clock usage. Or, are the generators engaging in a giant game of chicken ?

Heinz, you may get your event horizon earlier than you expected.

I suspect this may finally wake up the clueless power users statewide and get them to be a little more judicious in their consumption.
