Flash memory is a storage device for temporary storage of information collected and/or used by devices that are capturing or using relatively small amounts of information, such as photos, music, etc. Flash memory devices are helping to feed the need for enterprise storage systems such as NTAP and EMC, because that data on flash memory must be off loaded to permanent storage so that the flash card can be used again and so the data can be accessed and distrubuted by others in an organized filing structure.
