Regarding the death penalty, I don't think it's a question of two wrongs making a right or not... the fact is that almost all the prison inmates are repeat offenders and career criminals... unless it's a second or first degree felony, most all offenders get either probation or community control of some sort, but prison is reserved for the repeat offender who has demonstrated again and again the he/she has no regard for life and property..... also, more than 70% of all offenders are repeat offenders, the recidivism is horrendous and, despite all attempts, many/most do not rehabilitate..... if someone commits a murder, there is little patience on the part of the victim's family for anything but the death sentence... the victim was not willful in becoming a victim, they had no choice... but the criminal had a choice, he know what he was doing, eliminating that person completely and ending all further responsibility for that person (this includes feeding and caring for that person for the next 40 years in prison) is highly illogical and a complete waste of State revenue.....

Here, in the State of Florida, the State prison facilities offer a gymnasium, color TV, a library.. in fact, a prison can study law while in prison and practice anywhere except within the State of Florida... isn't that nice... I don't really care to send the criminals to school at my expense, how much would it cost you to go to law school and go to the gym every afternoon? The prisoners have it very easy, here in the U.S. anyhow...
