there are several reasons...high TRIN, a recovery in breadth and NH/NL, and the perception that easy Al will keep cutting and that all the bad news are 'priced in'.
all of this has worked in the bull market, so everybody expects it to continue to work, in spite of the fact that it HASN'T worked for at least three months now.
