I file my options as short-term. I thought about buying August 10 puts but given the put price I felt the risk/reward ratio wasn't worth it. I'm not into covered calls this year. In my view the general market appears volatile and very interest rate sensitive. I'm more worried about my stocks 'tanking' than riding out a short-term stock weakness and profit from same via covered calls. I'm very interested in 2nd qtr numbers, as I think you are too. Those costs will of course affect the net and thats the number the 'street' seems to focus on.
