Steve, sorry if answering this will make you repeat yourself (I don't read every post).

My wife and I were in a Gateway store a few months ago, and ALMOST bought an HP 952. The quality was good, but they are still grainy. Are there printers out there for under $400 that will produce 'photo quality' yet?

The GTW guy told us that the 952 was about it good as it gets, unless you spend over $1K on a printer. Have things changed? Is there any photo quality printer within our price range? I'd spend say ... $400 on a printer and $1,000 for a camera if I could get better quality than what I saw.

Also, a friend told me to buy a digital camcorder that takes still shots, instead of buying a camera. In your experience (or anyone else's) what are the benefits/drawbacks against this? What are the pixel limits on camcorders? I saw a nice 3.1 pixel camera for about $800 this weekend. Can you get this on a camcorder?

Thank you in advance, Go SNDK!!

Dave
