Yesterday, my husband was heading to the mall and asked me if I wanted him to get anything for me, since he'd be going past the grocery. I planned on doing some shopping today, but it could've been postponed until tomorrow if he picked up a dozen eggs, a small chunk of Swiss Cheese, and a jar of olives. From experience, I know he needs a note, but he assured me that with only three items, a note wouldn't be needed. Off he went.
He arrived home with three grapefruit, a box of Kraft Dinner, and a large box of Corn Flakes! The odd thing about this is, apart from the grapefruit, we don't usually eat any of this stuff.
I decided to give him a taste of his own medicine. I asked him if I could get him anything from the drug store. He answered that he'd like some postage stamps and a chocolate bar. Upon returning home, I presented him with a bottle of shampoo and a roll of camera film. I was looking forward to enjoying my revenge when I handed him the bag. He looked inside and smiled: "Oh yeah! I needed this too."
So much for teaching by example.
