And businesses are doing business because their primary aim is to make money so they are about as likely to "self-audit" their business as I am likely to become an astronaut.

If Ms. Norton had been serious about her "environmental gala" that was funded by businesses but was attended by major Republicans, you would have thought that she might have invited a few people who could tell her about the consequences of environmental destruction to our planet.

Since she worked for President Reagan, perhaps she needs someone to tell her why we need trees. I do not know if you recall Mr. Reagan's quote, but he wondered out loud, "why do we need trees?"
