Karen,
what is amazing to me, is that in real life, I have found that I have very little in common with other libertarians. I consider most that I have met in person to be pretty whacko and in need of some serious help on the reality front.

I agree that L party is not ready fro prime time. They seem unable to compromise on the libertarian ideal long enough to make any progress. I am happy to take little baby steps, or even just to halt the steady move away from libertarian ideals.

I would define Liberalism as openness to progress and change. By contrast, conservatism attempts to conserve the traditions and received truths of the past. Liberalism has also been defined as generosity, tolerance, open-mindedness and willingness to give.

Hey! I fit that description to a "T". I am not only a liberal, but a libertarian.
