"Analysts attributed the slowing industry demand mainly to a maturing market in Europe, which is offsetting growing demand in other regions such as China, North America and Latin America. Snyder predicted that growth would accelerate again when markets in China and India begin gaining momentum. . .Overall, Zafirovski said, he believes Motorola still regained market share in the fourth quarter. Chase's Snyder said Motorola's above average growth in CDMA and TDMA standard phones supported Zafirovski's claim."

So, Europe growth is slowing (maturing market, like Korea), and China, LA, NA, and India will be the places to be. CDMA has a good overall presence in LA and NA; WLL CDMA is getting geared up in India and we are all holding our breath waiting for China. Looks like the expanding markets in cell phones are occurring in regions which have, or will have (we hope) CDMA networks. All we have to do is get our fair share!

Moreoever (and who would have thunk it), CDMA growth is what is helping (and presumbaly will continue to help) MOT. And what will become of NOK if Europe is maturing? Where will its growth be found?
