This skeptic only assumes that they are trying to run up the number of posts without running us off! I enjoyed your singing this morning, even if it did occur on Yahoo originally. (brought back old, good times). You have posted previously about a revenue projection for 2001 of 50 mil. I haven't been able to find the post, but I remember it well. Could you reiterate the detail which breaks the revenue number down to operating segments? I know better than to even hold Da Man to detailed projections by segment but it would be instructive to have the frame of reference for comparison as we enter this exciting phase of growth! Last year military was the wild card and communications was the rapidly growing base. Now we have military in a strong uptrend, FOG exploding, and current sensor on the horizon. Just about the time that they all three are in high gear, here comes opto-electronic modulators from world-class materials and fiber design, not to mention the phase-array antennas which will capitalize on the "bandwidth-in-the-back-seat" craze. I have always believed that successful investment demanded the formulation of a workable exit strategy before putting up one's money, but I confess that every time I think that I understand KVHI enough to begin to determine an exit point, I send myself back to the drawing board. At this point, I am happy to have established a meaningful position. However, discipline says that I must not give up on the exit strategy. HELP!! When these arithmetic exercises which I have used before indicate that 4 years out the company should reasonably be capitalized at 7 billion dollars, and I see that is more than 100 times above our present level I question everything about my model. Do any of your exercises yield similar results? What am I missing? No wonder you are singing!! |
