I talked to IR about three weeks ago, and the beta testing is definitely being done through the internet, but I don't believe he said there was any relation between that and the website being down. (I think he mentioned the website, but I now don't remember in what context, or what he said about it.) And like the previous poster said, I can't imagine how one would have any effect on the other.
