glad your group liked the soup ...

I like cooking a lot and try bunches of different things .. some end up getting thrown out before anyone else samples the results .... LOL

even tho you didn't ask for another .... hehehehe
here is another of my favs ...

1 cup olive oil
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp caraway seeds

during my working days, lunch was served several times per month at different places of business for a small group of friends ...
each guy would call around and inform the others that he was going to serve lunch on a particular day ....
the ones who could come had no say in what was prepared ...

needless to say, it was a fun group and some staaaaaaaange things were served over the years ....
unfortunately, or perhaps fortunate for me as I'm still relatively mobile .... ggggg, most of those guys are dead, nursing home, or just plain old and the lunch routine has just about faded away .....

that TacoSoup came from there ...

here is a little trick one of my old chef buddies *(he was an electrician ... one man company and a character) that had me puzzled the first time I ate it at his shop ....
matter of fact he wouldn't tell anyone what it was that day..

most of our stuff was/is easy and cheap .... LOL

try this one ... guaranteed to amaze the taste buds AND the mind ....

make your regular potato salad ...
however you make it
and
there are as many ways to fix potatosalad as there are cooks .....

do nothing different from that method
except this =====

finely chop some fresh cabbage *(enough to make in finished product an amount equal to about 1/6 in bulk size of your finished batch) ... that doesn't read too clearly ....hmmmmmm... think about it this way .. if you make 6 cups of potato salad ... you'll need about 1 cup of chopped FRESH cabbage

add enough apple cider vinegar to make the chopped cabbage moist ..

add some crushed red pepper (the same kind and same amount you'd use on your pizza)

mix that in with the potato salad ....

it makes the salad kinda crunchy and will really amaze you ....
and you can't see it or even feel it when you get it on your fork ...
who ever EXPECTS potato salad to crunch .....
makes folks ask and try to figure it out .... funny ...but good...
