Advanced Radio Telecom Unveils New Service With Breakthrough Pricing
BroadStream Internet Service Offers 100 Mbps for $1,000 a Month
BELLEVUE, Wash., Jan 9, 2001 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Advanced Radio Telecom Corp. (ART) (Nasdaq: ARTT chart, msgs), a leading provider of broadband fixed wireless Internet services, today announced the introduction of its BroadStream(TM) Internet Service in certain markets throughout the U.S. ART's BroadStream Internet Service offers burstable broadband Internet access up to 100 Mbps -- roughly equivalent to 66 T1 lines -- for $1,000 a month.
"We believe that the combination of high-speed Internet access and price will take the market by storm," stated Wharton "Zie" Rivers, ART's CEO. "No other provider is offering this much bandwidth at such an affordable price in our markets. In essence, our value proposition is very simple: for the same price, would you rather have a single T1 or sixty-six T1s?"
ART's BroadStream Internet Service offers an easy "plug and play" transition from a user's current service to ART's all-IP network. Once a building is "lit" with ART's wireless technology, ART can provision BroadStream Internet Service in as fast as 10 working days and has a service level agreement that provides for 100 percent availability.
"Based on the early market response and sales activity of BroadStream Internet Service, I believe that the combination of high bandwidth, compelling price, rapid provisioning and the best service level agreement in the industry will resonate with companies requiring high-speed Internet access," said Rivers. |
