I don't get all the fuss if that is what IT really is. I remember a 60 Minutes episode where Andy Rooney demonstrated a motorized two wheel scooter that was powered by a very small gas engine. The clip showed him scooting through NYC on his way to the office. Afterwards, he said it was ok but he probably would never use the device again.

I don't see the advantage of a high tech unicycle. Besides, it would really suck having to commute to work on one of those things in the winter if you live in the NE like I do.

Oh yeah, I can see it now. I call AAA because my unicycle got stuck in a snow bank but by the time they arrive to pull me out, I've collapsed from hypothermia (assuming I didn't freeze solid riding the thing in the first place)!

No thanks. I'll stick with the four wheeled variety of transport. However, for $2000 a motorized unicycle would be fun to own just for kicks. But a main form of transportation? Not for me!
