Eric L.,

Here's an article that was published today that provides a little insight into the problems operators in Europe are going to be faced with: news.ft.com

I suspect this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Now given your statement that there are, " over 25 GPRS Networks commercially installed and are either live or testing" and that "another 35 are on order", just how hard do you think the phone manufacturers are working to provide a handset that delivers acceptable performance. Maybe it's just a matter of working the kinks out as you suggest...then again maybe not. I suspect they are and have been working like dogs to get a round peg to fit into a square hole. Has it ever occurred to you that maybe robust wireless data can't be commercially delivered in an economically viable way on a handset that doesn't use CDMA technology? No didn't think so...... Gee I wonder why all approved 3G standards are CDMA based?

BTW thanks for the compliment that my "inputs are valuable"....I love it when you talk out of both sides of your mouth.

Have a nice weekend ;>)
