Some people believe that the rollover of the Maya calendar will result in the destruction of the universe and the beginning of a new creation. In theory this could occur on December 23, 2012. But, from my reading there wasn't any orthodoxy surrounding this belief among the Maya.

In any case, Quetzalcoatl was Aztec/Toltec.
